Judi loves watching the life cycle of flowers, from bud, to blossom, to decay. A few summers ago she became obsessed with watching these stages on her neighbor's hibiscus bush and she photographed its blooms almost daily. This piece, which Judi hand-carved in wax and cast in recycled sterling silver, is inspired by the end stage of the flower, when the petals close and form beautiful intricate pleats.
